🌞 Light

• Full Sun is best. They thrive in bright, open areas.

• Will tolerate partial shade when young, but grow best with full exposure.

💧 Watering

• Newly Planted: Water 2–3 times per week for the first few months.

• Established Trees: Water deeply every 7–10 days if there's no rain.

• Royal Palms prefer moist, well-drained soil, but they hate soggy roots. Make sure the area drains well.

🌱 Soil

• Tolerates a range: sandy, loamy, or clay – but must drain well.

• Can handle slightly alkaline to acidic pH.

🧪 Fertilizing

• Use a slow-release palm fertilizer 3 times a year: spring, summer, fall.

• Look for one with magnesium, manganese, and potassium (like 8-2-12 + micros).

• Yellowing fronds? That’s usually a magnesium or manganese deficiency.

✂️ Pruning

• Only remove dead or completely brown fronds.

• Never prune green fronds – the tree pulls nutrients from them.

• Don’t "hurricane cut" it – that stresses the tree and invites disease.
